During Semester Two, students attended the Darwin Middle School Orientation Day. Orientation Day provides an opportunity for students to explore a new campus and gain insight into life as a Year 7 student.
During semester two, our year six students attend the Darwin Middle School Orientation Day. The orientation helps students feel confident and prepared for year seven by allowing them to become familiar with the campus, meet staff and understand routines, and experience some sample lessons.
By seeing how the middle school operates and asking questions students left feeling more comfortable, less nervous, and excited for the year ahead. It builds a sense of belonging, independence, and reduces nerves, and ensures they begin middle school feeling supported, excited, and ready for a new learning environment.
